Dr. Yosihiko Sinoto
On May 7, 2015, at Kapi‘olani Community College, Dr. Yosihiko Sinoto gave a talk on his work, hosted by the Hawaiian Historical Society. Held in Hale ‘Ohia, the talk was free and open to the public. Longtime associate Eric Komori narrated a PowerPoint presentation on the highlights of Dr. Sinoto's sixty-year career in Pacific archaeology.
Dr. Sinoto's work is the subject of another Manoa Foundation project: Manoa Journal's Curve of the Hook: An Archaeologist in Polynesia. Curve of the Hook is the English translation of a book-length interview by Hiroshi Aramata of Dr. Yosihiko Sinoto. The Manoa Foundation supported publication of the issue by raising funds for promotion and distribution.
